LGBTQJew, a program at the Asheville Jewish Community Center; QORDS, a queer oriented summer camp; and COLAGE, an organization that unites people with LGBTQ parents/guardians are coming together for a special collaboration called LGBTQ Family Day. The event will be held on Sunday, April 2nd from 1-3PM at the JCC. We will show a film then have a community space for participants to interact with local organizations that provide support for our LGBTQ community.
This special day will bring together LGBTQ families from Asheville for one of the first US screenings of the film, Gayby Baby. Buy your tickets and watch a preview of the movie here: https://
The goal of this program is to provide entertainment and resources for LGBTQ parents, their children and LGBTQ youth and also cultivate a family friendly LGBTQ community space in Asheville.
The cost for this event is $10 (free for children under 5) and we will be providing snacks along with free childcare. A portion of the proceeds will go to COLAGE to unite and support people with LGBTQ parent(s) nationwide.
