Another busy week in the Olam Echad class. We started the week with picking kale from the garden and making it into kale chips. These were a huge hit and the kids demolished them!! If you want to know the recipe just ask.
Then to make the week even better we attended a Dar Williams concert in the gym. The kids really seemed to enjoy her positive energy and her amazing musical talents. The kids got the chance to dance and sing along with the songs that they knew.
Dar Williams talked about the the importance of bees in our world. Luckily we still have beautiful sunflowers growing in our garden that the bees are still using as food.
Along with the bees in our garden, we got to play with worms. Also check out this amazing candy roaster squash that Olam Echad is growing.
After spending all that time in the garden, we came back to a super special surprise. Olam Echad got a guinea pig. We have named her Luna and are very excited to have her. She is very sweet and all the children have been wonderful learning how to care for her and to be gentle with her.
If that was not enough excitement for one week, we got a special visit from Charlie the rabbit on Friday. Thank you so much for bringing him in to meet the kids and hop around.
Well this was certainly a fun filled week! Stay tuned next week to see what exciting happenings are in Olam Echads schedule.
