Falafel 5K and Kids Fun Run May 8

Don’t miss out on the only 5K race in Asheville that ends with a Falafel sandwich. Run with us on Sunday, May 8 at 10 am! A local favorite, the Falafel 5K was voted one of WNC’s BEST road races in the 2015 Mountain Xpress “Best of WNC” poll.

Every runner gets a coupon for a FREE falafel sandwich redeemable that Mothers’ Day evening at Cafe Israel, a new indoor event hosted by Congregation Beth Israel. Don’t miss the authentic Israeli food, wine and Hi-Wire beer; live music and folk dancing demo; inflatables and children’s activities; and the silent auction. All registered participants for the 5K will receive a race shirt (unless the t-shirt free option is chosen).

Celebrate your mom and all moms by running this race. In honor of Mother’s Day, a portion of each registration will be donated to the YWCA of Asheville’s MotherLove program for teen parents.

The Kids Fun Run will be at 4:30 pm on May 8. Kids ages 2 – 12 are invited to participate in this 1/4 mile fun run, complete with obstacles and festive elements. The race begins with a short spirited song session with Camp Ruach’s own, Seth Kellam. Each racer will receive a gift. The cost is $10. Here is the registration form: Kids Fun Run Registration
