Our new PreK classroom spaces have passed all inspections, and are now officially licensed spaces. Everyone worked hard to get these classrooms ready on time! See below for photos of Keshet and Ahava classrooms, and our newly fenced in play space on the corner of Clyde and Hillside Streets.
Here are some more updates:
- Now that the PreK has moved out, the modular structure on Clyde Street will be given to ABCCM to use for their women’s shelter. They’ve already begun work to prepare the building for transport to its new home, and we expect it will be completely removed from the site early next week.
- Our new aquatics facility plans have been finalized and will have a technical review by Planning and Zoning on Wednesday, January 4th. Once the plan is approved, site preparation work will begin – likely on Thursday or Friday of next week. See attached drawings showing what we are planning for the new building’s exterior and interior finishes.
- The Design Committee met with the architects on December 19th and looked over conceptual drawings of the layout for our new early childhood wing, new lobby/entry, and renovations to the existing building. Some of this is contingent on our successful fundraising, so we are very motivated to continue that effort!
- We are working on refining our construction phasing plan in order to understand which parts of the project make the most sense to work on in which order, and to get an idea of when each of those phases will be completed. Once all parties (JCC, architects, construction manager) are in agreement about the timing, I will share those details with you.
