Happy Thursday to you all. I am personally already pumped to learn more about shapes next week, but before Monday comes, maybe we could all get together and play again. Tomorrow, Friday May 9, 2014 Shalom Children’s Center will be CLOSED. We are sorry for the inconvenience, however there another option. The PTO has organized a play date at Avery’s Little Corner in Woodfin from 10-1. On Saturday May 10, 2014 there’s a PTO sponsored Parent’s Night Out from 530-930 here at the JCC. Hope to see you there! (and a BIG thanks to the PTO for organizing this weekend’s events!) If your family needs mitzvah hours, then you’re in luck because we need volunteers for Saturday night’s play date and at the Rummage Sale (Times may vary on Friday-Monday, May 16-19, 2014. Zequoia will be volunteering at both events.)
So about this week, on Monday we enjoyed Havdalah with Penny. Later on the playground the little ones enjoyed chasing and popping bubbles! Tuesday we had a fun time with Miri. We played with swim noodles and later Miri challenged us to be patient while we wait for an object to be passed to us. Oh the many faces of anticipation! Wednesday we had a blast marching like dinosaurs (again), watering and tasting the plants in the garden, and later playing with water outside on the playground. Thursday has been a day to play with the table toys and teacher lead activities. We ended our short week with some bending, stretching, and flexing while playing shape twister!
That’s our week in review.

Have a wonderful long weekend,
