Screening of “Shanghai Ghetto”

This 1h 35min documentary tells the story of Jews who, fleeing the Nazis after Kristallnacht (Nov. 9, 1938), made their way into the far-flung slums of Shanghai. In Shanghai they built a humble enclave when all other nations closed their doors. No other city in the world saved as many Jewish lives.
