Jewish Film Series: For My Father

The JCC’s Jewish Film Series, led by Professor Barbara Weitz, takes a deep dive into Jewish and Israeli films with thoughtful discussion and analysis in a community setting. Each event includes a free showing of the film followed by a discussion and occurs on the third Sunday of the month.

This film is shown by the JCC at 3 pm the day of the discussion. Discussion begins at 5 pm.

About the film: A Palestinian suicide bomber set on a mission in Tel Aviv to restore his father’s honor falls in love with an Israeli woman outcast from her Orthodox family. This unsettling story follows themes of father figures, conflicting patriotic duties, and impossible decisions.
