In 2006, Israeli and Palestinian former combatants, people who had taken an active role in the conflict, laid down their weapons and established Combatants for Peace (CFP). The egalitarian, bi-national, grassroots organization was founded on the belief that the cycle of violence can only be broken when Israelis and Palestinians join forces. CFP was nominated for a Nobel Peace Prize in 2017 and 2018.
On February 27 at 6:30 pm, join Congregation Beth Israel and CFP for a discussion of what peace could look like in Israel.
