Olam Echad children have been busy emulating many different occupations and job scenarios, working through conversations, social scripts responsibilities and duties. After the visits from parents last week, children have been discussing how their parents’ work is so important…helping others, taking care of people, fixing, in a word…TIKKUN OLAM (which means caring/repairing the world).
Thank you to our parents who volunteered last week for occupational discussions and presentations! The kids loved it and have not stopped talking about you!! We have had many doctors and cruise planners re-enacting in our dramatic play area over the week.
Building, sorting, problem-solving, weighing, experimenting with properties and colors, distinguishing attributes, drawing, painting, imaginative plays, expanding on language and other emergent literacy activities are occurring daily in all centers and activities throughout the classroom! It is amazing to see such growth and development happening!!
One of the parents came to provide a demonstration about dental hygiene…thank you for your time and the valuable information!!
