Now that the beautiful David Zimerman Pool is complete and swimmers are enjoying swim team, swim lessons, and lap swim, we have begun the next phase of the JCC’s expansion and renovation project. Although completion dates and timelines are subject to change due to weather and other unforeseen circumstances, construction of the new entrance and early childhood classrooms is expected to be completed this summer. We’re hoping to move our early childhood classes into their new spaces as soon as the second week in July!
Following that, creation of a new teacher lounge, board room and renovations to the future youth programs hallway will happen on the first floor of the main JCC building. That phase is scheduled to be completed in late August.
Finally, renovations to the JCC’s second floor, including installation of a new sprinkler system; lighting upgrades, floor refinishing, and other improvements to the social hall; new bathroom fixtures; and a fresh coat of paint in all offices and seminar rooms are expected to be completed by late November.
Construction of the new Camp Ruach Pavilion is still to be determined, but we hope to have that completed in time for Camp. Fingers crossed!
