Happy Friday to you all,
Although we thought that the week was starting out uneventful (no specialists this week), it really turned out to be a very interesting!
There was a bumble bee in our classroom on Monday. The little ones couldn’t stop buzzing around like the bee. Later outside we found a challenging area to practice jumping. Zequoia helped everyone jump down in their own way. We also started a game of ring-around-the-rosie that just wouldn’t stop growing larger and larger. (The more the merrier!)
We started out on the playground on Tuesday. Of course this made us all super hot and tired so we came inside, had a snack, got diapered/went potty, can you guess what we found after that…. you got it, a bumble bee (it was more like a gnat or mosquito)! …so, the little ones buzzed around all morning again; some friends enjoyed dressing up in costumes while they buzzed. Our friends really enjoyed buzzing while they painted and while they played with the counting teddy bears.
On Wednesday we used bubbles in the garden. (This was really a sight to see! They are absolutely ecstatic when they see bubbles floating away!) We talked about why the bubbles were floating away. We also talked about why they pop. Later, we found a spider! We all took some time to watch the spider climb up to create her web. We sang about itsy bitsy spiders as well.
Thursday we enjoyed playing in the gym, like old times. In the gym we had a blast jumping on the mats and playing with balls. We had to talk with our friends later about taking turns AND sharing. They’re being tough as nails when it comes to this, but that’s all a part of having a classroom full of two year olds! After lunch, Zequoia (instead of Susan)finally let all the little ones do her hair. We got out the crawling tunnel too.
Brr, what happened to the Spring?! It was a bit breezy today! The little ones noticed and repeated “I’m freezing” as we had a quick run outside on the playground before snack. At Shabbat today, everyone did a fantastic job sitting and singing with Penny. We thanked Mr. Joseph, the facilities director, for all the hard work that he does. After nap time we enjoyed doing art!
Please make sure to drop by the Rummage Sale on Sunday. There are some awesome finds in there!
