Shabbat Shalom Y’all!
At the end of the week, I find myself reflecting on common themes that I have seen around the school that I want to share with you. One theme that I know has been a conversation topic is GRATITUDE. The cool thing is that here at Shalom, we talk about Gratitude even when Thanksgiving is not just around the corner.
I see Mitzvah trees up in all three buildings that demonstrate the appreciation that we have of each other’s good deeds.
I hear friends learning the importance of saying “Thank You” and “Please” and feeling genuinely good about making someone else feel good.
I see the Pre-K taking their discussions and work to another level with a community cooking project to make a Thanksgiving meal for a family in need through JFS.
The Pre-K friends also have their own reflections of gratitude posted on a tree over there for all to see as well.
I hear Penny singing about “Giving Thanks” and picking out items from our gratitude jar to prompt new lines in our Shabbat songs.
And of course, from our hearts to yours, we have GRATITUDE for all of you for sharing your children with us everyday!
