Antonia Lassar’s “The Best Jew” – June 20
Antonia is a queer Jewish comedian/actor/hot person based in LA. She’s best known for her viral tiktoks about Jewish life and co-hosting the world-famous Yenta Podcast. Featured by Autostraddle, Marie Claire, and Glamour Magazine, she also recently received the prestigious Mandel Fellowship for her Jewish standup comedy. Schmear and Spoken Word – June 30
with Yetzirah: a hearth for Jewish poetry
Enjoy brunch with the Jewish poets of Yetzirah: a hearth for Jewish poetry. Dine on a delicious bagel spread (with schmears!) by Joey’s Bagels and savor brilliant poetry penned by Yetzirah’s leadership. Each poet will read a few of their own poems, followed by questions and conversation with the audience.
Yetzirah is a nonprofit literary organization dedicated to fostering and supporting a community space for Jewish poets, nourishing writers and readers of Jewish poetry now and for generations to come.
