All around us we are seeing the JCC’s plans to meet our community’s growing and changing needs taking shape. Our early childhood wing is nearing completion, and the new year round pool is proving to be all that we’d hoped for!
What a great time to be part of the J! With this growth comes the need for strong leadership on the board.
The JCC’s Board of Directors is a group of passionate volunteers, committed to governing the organization and ensuring its success. We want to make sure that the board includes directors who best represent all of our members and families. Please take a moment to nominate a JCC community member who you think would provide excellent leadership to the organization and who has a passion for the work of the Asheville JCC. You are welcome to nominate yourself!
Knowledge and experience in fundraising, accounting and finance, strategic planning, board governance, legal resources, or IT would be a plus, and leaders with varied strengths and areas of expertise are invaluable. The governance committee will accept and review nominations, then hold personal meetings with candidates to have a conversation about board expectations and determine fit. New board members will begin their term in January of 2019. We are also seeking those who may be interested in beginning board service at a later time.
