After many delays, this may be the most exciting day yet for the JCC’s construction project. Today the contractors started installation of the Dynadome, the retractable enclosure that will allow swimmers to swim in the open air during the warm summer months and swim indoors during the cooler months. It’s amazing to watch the heavy equipment being lifted into the air by crane. We’re getting our first real taste of the actual size of our new facility, the way its structures will occupy their spaces and how it will feel to be able to use this incredible new feature. Here are a few photos and a video of the Dynadome taking shape. More footage and updates coming soon!
With all of this new activity, and barring any further unexpected delays, we are very hopeful that the pool will be ready in just a few weeks. More information about our Grand Opening Day Party will be forthcoming. We’ll also post images on our social media pages. Don’t miss out on our latest pool updates! Please sign up for JCC eNews here.
