Due to several unforeseen circumstances, including weather delays, the new year-round pool will not be opening on Memorial Day weekend as expected. While the new pool will not be ready for opening on May 29th, we’re excited to report that things are moving forward steadily, and we will be opening the year-round pool later this summer. Until then, we’ll be opening the old (and beloved) JCC pool on time on Memorial Day weekend so that not a minute of summer fun and swimming at the J is missed!
Here’s an update about how this slight postponement of the new pool and brief delay in new pool opening will look like: Because the former locker rooms have been transformed into beautiful classrooms, we will bring in trailers that house 3 individual shower, toilet and sink facilities. We will also have an additional trailer with a handicapped accessible toilet. We are hopeful that the new pool will be ready around the first or second week of July. But knowing that there is more rain in the forecast, we really can’t promise anything.
