Children in grades 7 through 12 interested in attending overnight summer camp are now eligible for scholarships to attend Camp Inc., a new JCC summer camp in Boulder, Colo., that specializes in entrepreneurship and business. The Asheville JCC has been allotted three individual camp scholarships. The scholarships are not need-based and can be given to any deserving family.
Depending on the age of the camper, each scholarship can be redeemed for either $1,800 off a two-week session for 7th-8th graders (normally $2,900) or $2,300 off a three-week session for 9th-12th graders (normally $3,900). If the camper is attending a Jewish overnight camp for the first time, the camper also qualifies for a One Happy Camper grant, which takes the total cost of Camp Inc. to $27 per day.
