Jewish female students residing in North or South Carolina who are interested in furthering their post-secondary education are eligible for scholarships of up to $5,000.
The Rosalyn Saltz and Norman Seymour Pliner Scholarship Fund will provide financial assistance to deserving, interested, and committed Jewish women who also must demonstrate commitment and involvement in their chosen field as well as advancing Jewish women in leadership roles. One or two recipients will be chosen for the academic year 2014-2015. Grants of $2,500 will go to each of two candidates or a $5,000 grant will be awarded to one. Recipients must meet the selection criteria and demonstrate financial need.
The deadline is Wednesday, April 30, 2014.
Grants can be used for full-time undergraduate study, graduate study, or special post-secondary training (for example, vocational courses). Grants may also be used by those already in the workforce who are going to school full-time. Grants provided should be for “last-dollar financing” for students to help bridge the gap between a student’s total financial resources and the cost of attending school.
