Want to have a say in the future of major issues affecting World Jewry? Join a worldwide online comment jam session, which will be held from Sunday, February 16th to Tuesday, February 18th. The government of Israel (GOI), the Jewish Agency for Israel (JAFI) and representatives of World Jewry organizations are partnering to develop the major initiative “Securing a Thriving Jewish Future,” and they want to hear from you! The initiative launched last November when a group of 120 professionals from Jewish communities and organizations, foundations and government ministries around the world met and produced seven papers identifying major issues affecting world Jewry (i.e. Israel and peoplehood education, Jewish life and Israel engagement on campuses, and Aliyah of Young Professionals). The papers will be released Sunday, followed by the 72-hour worldwide forum.
To register for the online session, go to the “Securing a Thriving Jewish Future” website, and follow the instructions to set up an account and profile. You will have access to read the papers when they’re released Sunday and add your comments. The online conversation will be facilitated by a team of experts and the website is expected to be updated every other hour. After the comment session ends, a revamped version of the seven papers will be released Tuesday, February 25th. The content of the revamped papers will be based on your comments, so make sure your voice is heard! For more information and help with registration, contact neil@jccavldev.wpengine.com.
